MoAMP Program to Launch!
As many of you know, the Chamber partnered with State Technical College of Missouri and made announcements of the MoAMP Program in our community! Our official launch in February garnered employers from several Callaway County businesses and the interest for the program to better our County’s workforce was huge!
However, COVID-19 put a slight damper on our ambitious plans, and we had to put a hold to the application process and thus, the classes themselves.
But now, the Chamber and State Tech are ready to better our Callaway County workforce and are now taking applications for this FREE program!
Classes offered through the program include Foundational Skills, Maintenance Principles, HVAC, Blueprint Reading, Industrial Wiring and much more! Classes yield certifications and even job experiences to applicants and allow them to gain skills to allow them to succeed in the workplace.
We know this is a great move for Callaway County and we are thankful for the partnerships we have made to be able to offer this to our community. We encourage anyone who is 18 years of age or older to apply. In addition, this program is not made to hinder anyone from applying and is open to Veterans and those who have been previously incarcerated.
With classes beginning in August, applications are now being accepted. To apply for the program, please contact the Chamber office and ask for Shane. If you have additional program questions, please contact Alex Earls at State Tech at 573.897.5189 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are excited to see where our applicants go through this journey and success they make!
